If you have already purchased or received a kit, follow these steps to unlock access to your course curriculum in the SI Portal.
1. Access your course in your school's LMS.
The setup of your course in the LMS will vary somewhat from school to school. For example, in the Canvas course depicted below, selecting "Getting Started" will bring you to your course in the SI Portal. Other LMSs function similarly, but may look different.
If you have any questions about where to find your course in your LMS, your instructor can help.
If this is your first time entering the lab portal, you will need to accept the Terms of Use before being able to purchase your kit.
2. Select the "Redeem Code" button under "Make a Purchase."
3. Find the kit code on your box.
Your 16-character kit code will be located on the interior lid of your kit box.
If your kit code begins with the letters "LP," you will only need the numbers from the kit code. You do not need the "LP-"
4. Enter your kit code and select "Redeem Code."
Enter your 16-digit kit code into the box in the SI Lab Portal. Then select "Redeem Code."
If your kit code begins with "LP," remove the LP- from the kit code. To enter the kit code, start by typing "SILP0" then add the numbers from the kit code on the lid of your box.
For example if your original code is "LP-01234567890," you should enter "SILP001234567890"
5. Enter your course and start working!
Once submitted, your lab activities will be unlocked. You can now begin work on your lab experience!
