Why Isn't My Kit Code Working?

Updated on

There are a several reasons why your kit code may not be working, but the good news is that it's usually a very easy fix! Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.

1. If your code starts "LP-," make sure to update the prefix on your code before inputting.

The Science Interactive lab portal requires a 16-digit kit code.

If your kit code begins with "LP," remove the LP- from the kit code. To enter the kit code, start by typing "SILP0" then add the numbers from the kit code on the lid of your box.

For example if your original code is "LP-01234567890," you should enter "SILP001234567890"

2. Make sure you haven't already used the code in a different course

Kit codes are one-time use, so if you've already entered the code to access a different course in SI Cloud (even if it was by accident), you won't be able to use it again for this course. If you used your kit code on a different course in error, please contact customer service.

3. Ensure you are entering your code in the correct field.

Check that you have selected "Redeem Code" under the "I already have a kit" button. Selecting the "Make a Purchase" button will redirect you to placing an order for a kit.

4. Check that all characters are correct.

Double check 1's and L's, or 0's and O's. If your code isn't working, try switching those characters.

5. If you are still unable to redeem your code, contact our customer service team.
